시간의 알갱이 시리즈는 돌을 모티브로 존재의 본질을 시적으로 탐구한 작품이다. 돌의 이미지를 통해 내면의 흐름과 정적을 시각화 한 것이다. 이것은 서사보다 느린 시선으로 존재의 숲으로 초대하려는 의도를 가지고 작업했다. 화면 속 돌은 기억과 시간이 응집된 자아의 풍경으로 볼 수 있다. 부서지고 깎인 돌의 표면은 마치 인간 존재의 궤적처럼 다층적이며 그 위에 쌓인 침묵은 오히려 말보다 많은 것을 이야기한다. 말하지 않지만 말 없는 존재만이 줄 수 있는 깊이와 무게를 지닌다. 돌에 채색된 색과 빛은 생성과 소멸, 명상과 꿈, 기억과 부재를 동시에 감싸는 시각적 상징이다. 돌은 하늘을 바라보는 듯 하면서도 땅과 맞닿아 있다. 이것은 시간의 흐름과 정지의 역설을 말한다. 존재의 조건이자 기억과 망각의 경계에 놓인 사유의 조형물이다.

Grains of Time series poetically explores the essence of existence, using stones as a motif. Through the image of stones, it visualizes the inner flow and stillness. This work was created with the intention of inviting viewers into the forest of existence through a slower gaze than through narrative. The stones in the canvas can be seen as a landscape of the self, condensed with memory and time. The broken and chiseled surfaces of the stones are multilayered, reminiscent of the trajectories of human existence, and the silence accumulating upon them speaks volumes beyond words. Though silent, they possess a depth and weight that only a silent being can offer. The colors and light imbued upon the stones are visual symbols simultaneously embracing creation and extinction, meditation and dreams, memory and absence. The stones appear to gaze upon the sky while simultaneously connecting with the earth. This speaks to the paradox of the passage and stasis of time. They are a condition of existence, and a sculpture of contemplation situated on the border between memory and oblivion.
